The new firmware is now available for the 9555, Extreme 9575, and Extreme PTT satellite phone handsets from Iridium Communications and we have them available for download below. The upgrades include bug fixes and the introduction of new useful features.
The firmware upgrade for the Iridium Extreme PTT means that support for 20 new languages has been added to the PTT side of the phone to bring parity with the telephony functions, and corrections have been made to the signal strength indicator to better reflect current network conditions.
