* Unlimited Iridium To Iridium Calls are subject to Iridium Fair Access Policy. Only available for use with SIM based Iridium handsets. Not available for Iridium GO! or L-Band Transceivers (non-eligible equipment). Calls from Iridium to non-eligible equipment are not covered and will be charged at the regular iridium to iridium rate.

Iridium Monthly Service Terms & Conditions

Initial one-time Iridium activation fee of $50 applies to all service terms less than 12 Months on Iridium Standard Plans.
Iridium monthly service plans auto-renew month-to-month until cancelled or modified.
Plans can be modified at any time, without penalty, after the initial 60-day minimum term.
Included monthly airtime applies to the following call types: landline/cellular, other Iridium phones, Iridium data and Iridium voicemail. Additional usage types will be charged at the standard airtime rates displayed in the "Additional Cost" tab.
Cancellations on month-to-month satellite subscriptions are billed to end of your current monthly bill cycle date with 30 day notice.
Unused included Iridium satellite subscription airtime does not carry forward month-to-month, unless you have rollover selected as an option on your Iridium service plan.
Iridium Fair Use Policy applies to all Iridium Monthly Service Plans.

Q: Should I Choose Iridium Monthly or Iridium Prepaid Service?

Iridium Satellite Phone Monthly Airtime Service Plans offer the benefit of uninterrupted service, overage on minutes, pay as you go plans, USA and International local phone numbers, rollover minutes, unlimited Iridium to Iridium calling and more.

Iridium Prepaid Plans are more expensive, have a limited amount of minutes, no allowed overage (service will just cut out), no USA or local phone numbers, and minutes can be rolled over only if a new prepaid plan is purchased before the old SIM voucher expires. Monthly service is always recommended for Iridium satellite phones.

Can My Iridium Satellite Phone Be Hacked, Tracked or Spoofed?

It is very difficult for event he most advanced government agency to trace and spy on an Iridium satellite phone. Eavesdropping on a satellite phone is virtually impossible since the signal travels vertically towards the sky. They would have to have an airplane full of equipment inline of sight between you and the satellite. However, they would still have to decrypt the signal which is encoded with up-to 256 Bit AES Encryption, the same as the DOD uses for their own communications.

Compared to your cell phones where the signal travels horizontally towards the cellular towers and through this transmission your signal is able to be intercepted and there is no encryption.

What is the Cost for Calling Internationally from Iridium?

Iridium satellite phones do not have roaming costs. You are able to make calls anywhere in the world to any cellular or landline at the same flat rate. Average cost per minute on satellite phone networks is $1.50. But higher service plans of 100+ minutes monthly reduce this cost per minute to less than $1.00 per minute.

Am I Charged For Incoming Calls and Text To My Iridium Satellite Phone?

No, direct dialed incoming calls and text are free on any Iridium service plan you choose. However, Iridium satellite phones are international phone numbers so the caller will have to check with their landline or cellular provider on the cost of calling an Iridium phone.

Am I Able To Use My Iridium Phone Inside?

Iridium satellite phones require a clear line of sight with satellites. At anytime there are 1 to 8 satellites in range of your phone, depending on where you are in the world.
