Already have a satellite phone – ensure it’s ready to go! #
If you already have a satellite phone, below are our tips for keeping connected:
- Test your satellite phone regularly and charge your battery once a month.
- Keep a spare battery and SIM card that can be activated quickly, avoiding issues with delivery once a bad weather situation is underway.
- If your SIM is currently deactivated, allow 24-48 hours to get a phone back on line. Iridium is running a promotion until 31st October that offers free reactivation of SIMs for handsets that have been inactive for a year or more. Ask us for more details.
- Check your subscription or credit balance on your satellite phone and top-up if necessary.
