Iridium GO! SOS Button #

If you own an Iridium GO then you have a customizable SOS button at the ready for you to use; it just needs to be set up. This is where the GEOS service comes in. It is free and will help you get help and even get you an actual GEOS professional to assess the situation and assist you in any way possible.

Why do I need it? #

The reasoning for emergency assistance spans the imagination. For instance, if you simply fall and break a leg or even sprain an ankle, you could have a medical emergency like a heart issue, or you could simply be absolutely lost and need rescue. The hypotheticals are really endless to find reasons for something as valuable as the service that is offered.

It comes down to if you want literally the simplest way to get help if you need it. Besides, do you really want to worry about dialing out on your phone during an emergency? Most people wouldn’t and with this service feature you can get help with a simple push of a button.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row 0=””][vc_column 0=””][vc_separator color=”black”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row 0=””][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Iridium Extreme and PTT SOS Button #

With either version of the Iridium Extreme, whether it is the standard or the version with PTT enabled, you get the same reliable SOS button built right into it. The service works just the same as it does with the Iridium GO!, simply set up the GEOS service and you are all set.

GEOS Service Explained #

The GEOS service is literally a lifesaver! They are coordinated in Houston Texas with the International Emergency Response Coordination Center and even have translation capabilities so no matter your language you can still receive the help you need with familiarity to boot. GEOS has highly qualified staff consisting of paramedics, police, and firefighters that have experience in rescues.

After you push the SOS button GEOS works on connecting everyone up to and including family members, first responders, and even the clients own embassy so everyone is up-to-date with very important information. This invaluable part of the service remains intact until the rescue has been resolved.

Also, even though the central command of GEOS is located in Texas they lend aid on a global scope on land, at sea, or in the air and have assisted in thousands of rescues so you can rest assured that if you configure your device to use this service you are in good hands.

How Much Does This Cost? #

The service itself is actually free to anyone with an Iridium Extreme, PTT, or Iridium GO! with an active SIM card on it. The only part of it that you will be charged for is the usage that occurs after getting ahold of GEOS. You can also decide not to use the GEOS service at all and some clients actually opt for this instead. You can program your SOS button to send an emergency message to the contacts of your choice but if you want trained professionals at the ready for you then we recommend the GEOS service.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”7772″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row 0=””][vc_column 0=””][vc_separator color=”black”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
